Brief Description:  Pre-Oiling Engine

Installed an AN6 hose male fitting onto the end of the pressure tank hose using a small steel clamp. Added an AN6 female 90 degree coupling to the pressure tank hose and then connected the coupling to the engine oil inlet. Put a quart of oil in the pressure tank and pressurized the tank. Left the pressure tank connected to the engine until about a half a quart of oil was injected into the engine. Removed the pressure tank from the engine and connected it to the oil feed line. Added a second quart of oil to the pressure tank and pressurized the engine oil input line. Monitored the pressure gage on the oil accumulator. Left the pressure tank attached until the oil accumulator was reading about 21 psi. Closed the value to the oil accumulator holding the 21 psi oil there. Released the pressure from the tank and removed the line from the engine input line. Reconnected the oil input line to the engine and tighten the fitting. Marked the fitting with orange/red paint. Next connected the pressure tank to the small oil filter input side and pressurized the tank. Left the pressure on the tank until about a half a quart of oil was injected into the scavenge return line. Moved the pressure tank line to the input for the main oil filter block and injected about a quart of oil into the oil filter block. Added another quart of oil to the pressure tank. Removed the pressure line from the oil filter block and connected it to the oil line from the engine oil pump. Pressurized the oil tank and injected the remaining oil in the pressure tank. Reconnected the oil line to the filter block and tighten the fitting.

Tested fitted the 1/4 OD latex tubing to the intake manifold drains. Started the fabrication of a catch cup for the three drain lines to terminate at. End of day.
