Brief Description: Completed the Starter Connectioins and Fuel Drain
Tighten the upper and lower mounting nuts on the starter housing. Connected the starter switch lead to solenoid and routed the wire through the fuel line hose clamp on the firewall. Connected the battery lead to the solenoid post. Marked each connection with red torque paint.
Assembled the fuel tank drain by adding pipe compound to the drain plug and installing it into the end of the drain pipe. Mounted the drain into the fuel tank by applying pipe compound and tighten it in the drain spigot.
The angle of the throttle levers did not allow for clearance of the cockpit side panels. Removed the right and left throttle levers. Removed the knobs and placed each throttle in a vice. Heated the base of the throttle lever and bent it an additional 15 deg. into the cockpit. Cleaned each throttle lever with a wire brush and when cool applied a coat of primer. Set aside to dry.
