Brief Description: Installing Engine Componets and Starter
Mounted the pass-through fitting for the fuel tank on an extension rod with fingers. Put some high-temp red silicone on the pass-through fitting and installed it through the hole in the filler neck on the fuel tank. Tighten the nut on the pass-through fitting and checked for a good seal. Placed a 3/16 inch hose clamp on the fuel return line and installed it on the fuel tank pass-through fitting. Continued to apply the red high-temp silicone to all of the firewall fitting that penetrated the firewall.
Using an angle grander adapter on a drill continued to cut away excess material on the edge of the air filter frame. Next tried to get the starter to fit. After three tries was able to get the starter aligned and slid home. Completing the connections on the starter will wait till tomorrow.
