Brief Description:  Ingnition Wiring Installation

Cut the 1 1/4 inch pipe 1 inch from the mounting flange to form the pass-through fitting. Smoothed out the edges and drilled two 3/16 inch holes in the mounting flange. Marked the location on the firewall for the pass-through to be installed. Drilled a 1 & 5/16 inch hole at the marked location on the firewall using a step drill bit. Slid the pass-through into the firewall hole and drilled one of the 3/16 inch mounting holes into the firewall. Used a 1032 1/2 inch bolt to secure the pass-through to the firewall. Repeated the process for the second mounting hole.

Slid both of the ignition plugs through a segment of shrink tubing. Added the remaining wiring so all of the ignition wiring going to the engine passed through the shrink tubing. Mounted both the left and right wiring harness to their respective plugs and fed all of the wiring through the firewall pass-through fitting. Sorted out each wiring harness so the left was connected to the left coil and distributor and the right wiring to the right side.

Constructed a support bracket for the engine EGT wiring. Used a segment of 1/2 inch angle aluminum which would reach from the firewall to just beyond the exhaust manifold. Cut an angle brace and bent a 90 deg lip on one end. Attached the angle brace to the 1/2 inch angle aluminum at one end using two 1/8 inch pop rivets. Drilled two 3/16 inch holes in the lip of the angle brace and mounted it to the firewall with two 1032 bolts just over the wiring pass-through fitting.
