Brief Description: Carburetor Linkages and EGT Weldment
Disconnected the fuel line from the carburetor and the oil lines from the oil cooler. Removed the air filter from the carburetor. Loosened the clamp holding the carburetor to the intake and removed it from the engine. Removed the bypass plug from the carburetor and removed the restrictor plug. Paul from Rotec indicated that no additional restriction would be needed with more than one foot of line going back to the fuel tank.
Mounted the throttle bracket onto the carburetor and install the throttle cable. Mounted the primer cable to the bracket on top of the carburetor and measured the length of the cable needed to actuate the primer. Marked the location and bent a "Z" in the wire to install in the actuator arm. Completed a test fit.
Installed the EGT weldment on the exhaust manifold at the recommended location from Rotec. Drilled a 1/4 inch hole at the marked location and then used a step drill bit to enlarge the hole to 1/2 inch. Positioned the weldment over the hole and secured in place. Spot welded it in two places. Removed the clamp and completed the welding around the weldment. See image 2.
