Installed an AN6 hose barb on a segment of 3/8 ID hose using a hose clip. Connected the hose to the top of the oil tank and measured the length to the firewall fitting. Cut the hose and installed it one the firewall fitting. Found that the hose was short by 1/2 inch. Removed the hose from the tank and measured off the correct length using the existing hose as a pattern. Again removed the AN6 fitting from the old hose and installed it on the new segment. Connected the hose to the oil tank and to the firewall.
