Brief Description: Main Fuel Line Installation From Fuel Filter
Mounted the carburetor and oil cooler to the engine inlet. Check the alignment of the oil line out from the oil cooler and adjusted the angle for fit and clearance. Build up a hose with a 90 deg end and a straight end. When fitted to the engine sump pump and oil cooler it was 1/2 inches too long. Disassembled the hose and cut it to the correct length. Reassembled the hose and then completed the connection from the engine sump pump to the oil cooler. Refer to Image 3.
The engine starter was test mounted to check clearances on the carburetor hoses. The carburetor was configured with the main fuel inlet on the same side as the engine starter. It was determined that there was not enough clearance for the fuel line to connect on that side of the carburetor. The carburetor was removed from the engine and the fuel inlet was moved to the other side of the carburetor. The carburetor was reinstalled on the engine and the main fuel line was measured. The line was assembled with a 90 deg end and a straight end. The 90 deg end was connected to the carburetor and the straight end connected to the inline fuel filter outlet. Refer to Images 1 and 2.
