Brief Description: Inline Oil Filter and Fuel Solenoids
Inspected engine mount space for location to support an inline oil filter. Identified a location where everything can fit. Cut two mounting tabs from 5/8" flat stock. Grind the edges of the tabs and tested fitted in mounting location. Using vice-grips, clamp tab in location for welding and using a meg welder, attached a tab to the engine mount. Repeat for second tab. Line up oil filter bracket and mark holes for drilling. Drill two 3/16" holes and attached the oil filter bracket using two AN 3 bolts with lock nuts.
I replaced the right side solenoid with a 3/8" unit. This was done to ensure reasonable fuel flow to the electric driven fuel pump. Replaced hose with a 5/16" ID hose and attached a inline fuel filter using two hose clamps. Measured the solenoid wiring for connection to the terminal strip and cut to length. Attached a terminal to each lead using a crimped connection followed by soldering each lead to the terminal. Repeated connections for the other solenoid and terminated both on the terminal strip.
