Brief Description: Aileron Linkage and Corner Bracing
Installed aluminum plugs in one end each of the two pipes to interconnect the top and bottom ailerons. Clamped the right wing ailerons to the wings for neutral alignment. Mounted the other aluminum plug on the bottom aileron. Attached the pipe to the top aileron and marked on it where the plug at the bottom aileron met the pipe. Repeated the process for the left wing.
Cut each aileron interconnecting pipe at the marked location and installed the aluminum plugs using three 3/16 inch pop rivets in each plug.
Using lengths of 1/2 inch aluminum pipe measured the distance of the diagonal on each end of the aileron. Cut the pipe to length and flatten about 1/2 inch of each end. Attached each end of the pipe on the diagonal using 1/8 inch pop rivets for both ends of the bottom aileron. Repeat for the top aileron.
