Brief Description: Final Assembly of Horizontal and Vertical Stabiliz
Painted the U shaped bracket that mounts the front of the vertical stabilizer to the horizontal stabilizer. Mounted the bracket to the horizontal stabilizer. Secured the top edge of the horizontal stabilizer to the fuselage with the two AN 3 bolts with 1 inch washers under the heads. Then positioned the vertical stabilizer over the rudder post and with in the bracket. Secured the vertical stabilizer with an AN 3 bolt through the bracket. Fitted the rudder hinges into the hinges on the rudder post and secured with pins. The center hinge would not fit due to bowing of the rudder post until the control cables were attached and tighten. A probe rod was used to pull the top elevator cable through the right side of the horizontal stabilizer. The end of the cable was taped to a disk to prevent it from being pulled back out of the horizontal stabilizer.
