Brief Description: Initail Fitting of the Rudder Bars
The rudder bars provided with the kit were 22 inches wide each. Their combined width exceeded the width of the cockpit. Using the chop saw I removed 1 1/2 inches from each end of the rudder bars. Welded new washers on the ends of each rudder bar. Used a step drill to enlarge the holes in each washer to 3/4 inch. Cut two 5 inch sections from a 1/2 inch heavy wall steel tube. Set up each rudder bar and aligned the 5 inch tube at the center on about a 15 degree downward angle. Tig welled each tube onto each rudder bar.
