Brief Description: Right Wing Stub Lower Access Panel
Cut a length of .024 aluminum 5/8 inches wide and 9 inches long. Used the break to form an L bracket. Installed the angle in the bottom of the wing stub nose to remove the dip in the leading edge bottom. Attached the leading edge bottom to the angle with four 1/8 inch pop rivets.
Slid the front edge of access panel under the bottom of the leading edge. Checked the alignment across the front and sided of the panel. Held the panel in place and drilled a 3/16 inch hole through the panel and the front cross angle brace. Removed the panel and installed an anchor nut at the drilled hole. Replaced the access panel and installed a 1032 screw in the front center hole. Held the panel in place and drilled two 3/16 inch holes in the back edge on the panel and one on each side through the flanges. Installation of anchor nuts will be completed during the next work day.
