Brief Description: Prepaired the Aircraft for Inspection
Installed the right aft cockpit rail cover by marking the grommet holes and drilling each mark with a 1/4 inch drill. Laced the cover in place and secured the knot with rubber cement.
Removed the cowling from the aircraft and set it aside. Removed the side panels from the front of the aircraft. Also removed the right bottom access panel from the wing stub.
Bill Gill started an inspection on the firewall forward and found a couple of items to be corrected. The routing of the spark wires laid over one arm of the engine mount. A segment of silicon tape was rapped around the engine mount arms under the lay of the spark wires. The cotter pin on the mixture control arm bolt was left too long. Used a side cutter to clip the excess from each leg of the cotter pin.
Set up the propane heater and did a test run to ensure everything works.
