Brief Description: Installing Leather Edge Roll on Left Side Panel
Put a second coat of paint on the windscreen bases and set them aside to dry. Measured out a 5 inch wide strip of leather and cut to size. Installed eight 1/4 inch grommets along one edge spaced 2 1/2 inches a part center to center. Folded the leather in half and installed matching grommets on the opposite edge. Laid out the leather on the panel and marked the first left grommet position on the panel. Drilled a 1/8 inch hole through the panel 3/4 inches from the edge on line with the marked position. Installed a cleo to hold the leather in place and marked the next grommet to the right on the panel. Continued to drill a 1/8 inch hole at the mark 3/4 inches from the edge of the panel in line with the mark. After all of the holes were drilled then redrilled each hole with a 1/4 inch drill bit. Deburred each of the drilled holes on the panel. Lacing up the leather will have to occur during the next work day.
