Brief Description: Tested the Instrument, Position and Landing Lights
Turned off the overhead lights and turned on the master switch on the aircraft. Checked the position lights first. The left side did not initially come up but after a couple changes to the switch the left side light came on. Turned on the landing lights and tested the wig-wag and strobe functions. Turned on the instrument lights and checked the instruments for illumination. Switched the lights to the rheostat and rotated it in both directions to check the illumination levels for the rotation positions. The instruments looked ok during the test.
Checked the windshield placement on the front cover and considered methods for mounting the small windshields to the front cover. Compared the curved form to the front cover's curve and found a match. The form will serve as a template to design a mounting plate to hold the windshield on the front cover.
