Brief Description:  Installed Channel to Top Wing

Bolted the tail wheel assembly to the mounting arm with a AN9 by 2 inch bolt and a self-locking nut. Put the tail wheel back down on the floor and inspected the cant of the tail wheel shaft. This should provide a better trailing position for the tail wheel.

Unscrewed the cables across the front and one on each side of the cockpit. Removed the forward fuselage cover by first removing the oil filler assembly and then sliding the cover back into the cockpit. Set the cover on the work bench.

Obtained a 3 foot section of light PVC pipe and cut a 3/4 inch strip from one side of the pipe. Sanded the edges of the cut to fit onto the wing strut. Measured the length of the front left center strut at 24 inches. Cut the pipe to length and trimmed the lower inside corner of the pipe for the exit of the airspeed and static air tubing and the AOA wiring. Mounted the channel onto the strut and secured with three wire ties.

Checked the wiring for the left wing position light. Did not find anything amiss on the initial inspection of the plug. Pulled the plug and checked the wiring going into the plug. The wiring appeared correct. Put the plug back into the controller and powered up the wiring again. None of the lights now worked. Removed the plug and used a small screwdriver to check the tightness of the terminals. Fount two of the terminals not as tight as they should have been. Tighten each terminal on the plug and mounted it back into the controller. Powered up the lights and found all of them working.
