Went through the new setup instructions for the AOA system control box. The self-test function completed normally. Held the setup button down on the accessory box and moved the switch to position 5 for two seconds and then moved the switch to position 4. The control box went though the self-test function again and I released the setup switch. The display showed a vertical line of LEDs that were flashing. This error code indicated that the AOA vane was positioned outside of the normal range of values.
Opened the vane case and exposed the back of the pot. Used a VOM to check the ohm value of the pot and found that all connections were open. Removed the pot from the wiring and again checked the ohm value of the pot. The results were again all open. Called the company and requested a new pot be sent.
