Brief Description: Start on Installing New Tail Wheel Assembly
Removed the old tail wheel by disconnecting the rudder cables, unwrapping the bungee cords and unbolting it from the rudder post. Cut a 2 inch square from the fabric in front of the rudder post brace to access the cross angle on the frame. Drilled a 5/16 inch hole through the end of the brace and cross member by drilling a pilot hole and then the final hole. Worked an AN5 bolt down through the hole to bolt the front end of the tail wheel arm. The flanges on the rudder post sides will have to be heated and bent out from each side of the rudder post 90 degrees. This will serve as the anchor and pivot point for the tail wheel arm.
