Brief Description:  Replaced Copilot Intercom Switch and Mounted Belly

Removed the broken end of the switch from the wires for the intercom on the copilot side. Tined the connections on the new switch. Installed four segments of heat-shrink tubing on the intercom wires and then soldered them to the new switch. Used the heat gun to set the heat-shrink tuning over the wires of the intercom switch. Also shrink the tubing on the temperature probe lead both at the sensor and at the splices.

On climbing into the cockpit using the step area on the left wing stub noted that the forward area was unusually soft. Check the forward brace for the step and found that the weld had failed at the lower longeron and the brace was poking through the fabric. Opened the fabric around the hole and observed the bracket broken free of the longeron. Going to require some careful welding on another day.

Got back into the cockpit carefully to stay off the front part of the step. Mounted the mini iPad in its holder and powered up the airplane. Turned on the iPad and the avionics master switch. Checked out the ADS-B information on the iPad and found it working. Brought up each of the EFB applications on the iPad and checked out how the ADS-B information was displayed. Each of the three applications presented the data on the map screen. I still need to make a final selection of the EFB app I'm going to use.

Removed the broken intercom switch from the throttle and installed the new switch. Turned on the radio and tested the new switch which worked correctly. Turned off the radio and then the avionics switch. Powered down the aircraft and exited the cockpit.

Completed the fitting of the belly pan across the front of the aircraft. Installed the three additional screws across the front of the pan. Fitted the aft end of the pan across the fuselage and installed three 1024 pan head screws. Mounted the forward center screw and tighten.
