Brief Description: Wing Stub Leading Edge Covering and Ground Plane
Moved the finished right lower wing off the table and back onto the wing rack. Applied contact cement to the leading edges of the wing stubs. Laid a 12 inch wide segment of felt over the right wing tip and pulled it tight over the edge and onto the bottom. Cut the excess from the outside edge leaving about 1/2 inch over the edge. Smoothed down the felt and removed the excess around the lift cable attachment. Repeated the process for the left wing stub.
Laid out a piece of 0.02 scrap to serve as a ground plane and mounting fixture for the beacon. Marked the center line on the material and the top end of the material. Marked the position of the mount for the beacon. Details of mounting this sheet to the bottom of the fuselage are yet to be determined. End of day.
