Brief Description: Turtle Back and Firewall Mounting Tabs
Installed the last of the long support tubes for the turtle back on the right side to complete the top. Cut six 1 1/4 inch lengths from the 1/8 by 3/4 inch steel strap. Ground all edges smooth. Tig welded each of the tabs in place on the front of the fuselage equal distance from each corner and on the cross brace. The tabs were set in place against a steel plate clamped to the cross brace and then spot welded. The plate was removed and a tig weld was completed around the tab. End of day.
