Brief Description: Building Cross Members for the Wing Stubs
Measured the width of the left wing stub between the two ribs at 10 1/2 inches. Cut a length of 10 1/2 inches from a 2 1/2 by .024 aluminum strap. Split the strap in half length ways and marked the resulting strips into 1/2 by 3/4 inch strips. Placed each strip in the brake and folded into a angle with one side 1/2 inch and the other 3/4 inches. Repeated for the second strap. Checked each strap on the wing stub and notched a 1/2 inch square from the smaller side of each end of the braces.
Measured the right side wing stub at 11 inches and cut a length of 11 inches from the 2 1/2 by .024 aluminum strap. Repeated the process described above and produced two 11 inch long angles for the right side wing stub. End of day.
