Brief Description:  Inside Wheel Covers Mods and Painting

Drilled a 1/4 inch hole into the inside left wheel cover about 1 inch above the value stem. Marked the stator adaptor with three dimples inline with the hole over the value stem. Removed the inside cover from the left wheel setting aside the brake stator and adaptor. Enlarged the 1/4 inch hole to accommodate the hole punch and punched a 2 3/8 inch hole in the cover. Filed the edges of the value stem hole smooth. Wiped down the wheel cover with MEK on both the front and back. Bushed on a coat of primer on both sides of the wheel cover. Wiped down the stator adaptor and bushed on a coat of primer around the outside. Allowed to dry.

Aligned the next row of instrument holes on the left side of the instrument panel and center punched their position. Drilled out the center holes to 5/8 inch and punched each with a 2 inch hole punch. Formed two channels 14 inches long and curved them to the contour of the front panel. Set aside for later pop riveting to the cover.

Brushed on a second coat of primer on both sides of the left wheel cover and set it aside to dry. Repeated the above process for the right wheel. Set it aside after the second coat of primer to dry.

Wiped down the belly pan with MEK on both the bottom and top sides. Bushed on two coats of primer on the inside of the belly pan. Additional painting for the next work day.
