Cut two 1/2 inch long segments from the 1/2 inch heavy wall steel pipe. Tig welded each segment on the end of the center pipe on the rudder bar so that the center hole is vertical to the rudder bar. Ground the edges smooth on each center mount. Measured the distance between the mounting points for the rudder bars on the airframe. Installed the threaded end of the I bolt mount into a 1 inch aluminum pipe using three 3/16 inch pop rivets. Measured off the distance for the interlink and then reducing the length of the threaded I bolt mount. Cut the 1 inch pipe at the marked length and installed the threaded mount with another three 3/16 inch pop rivets. Crewed in each of the I bolts on the ends of the interlink and set them with about a half inch of thread showing.
