Brief Description: Covered Bottom of Center Wing Section
Marked the location of the spar extensions on the right end fabric. Marked up patches to cover the opening for the spar extensions. Glued the patches in place and let them dry. Applied glue along the inside of the left end rib and along the trailing edge of the wing. Melted the opening for the spar extensions with the soldering iron. Fitted the right end fabric in place and ironed it to the end rib. Turned the center section bottom up. Pulled a length of fabric over the bottom, carefully aligned the fabric along the leading edge and glued the right end down. Cut the fabric from the spool leaving enough to cover the left end of the section. Smooth out the fabric alone the leading edge and ironed it in place. Marked the locations for the spar extensions on the left end. Cut and applied patches over the spar opening on the left side. Melted the opening with a soldering iron. Pulled the fabric tight along the left end of the center section and ironed it in place. Pulled the fabric tight along the trailing edge and ironed it in place on both ends of the wing section. The curved section of the center section will be attached during the next work session.
