Brief Description: Continued Design on Crossover Cable Pulley
Checked position of crossover cable and pulley in relation to control arm assembly and routing through the rudder bar brackets in relation to the mounting locations available. Pop riveted one side of the pulley bracket to the control arm. Evaluated this arrangement and rejected it due to potential for chafing of the cable on extreme stick movement. Removed the pop rivet and the pulley bracket from the control arm. Considered other attachment arrangements and decided on attachment to the floor pans on each side of the control assembly. Drilled two 3/16 inch holes on the inside of each floor pan lip as attachment points for the pulley assembly. Redesigned another set of attachment brackets for the pulley and positioned for mounting. Decided to delay further work for more design time.
Drilled each lift tap on the fuselage with a 5/16 inch hole. Mounted a thimble in each lift tap in preparation for attachment of the lift cables.
