Brief Description:  Construction of the Tail Wheel

Marked the tail wheel fork channel to cut for the wheel fork. Used a cut - off wheel to remove the excess metal from the channel to form the wheel fork. Ground the edges on the grinder to provide the final shape for the fork. Drilled a 1/4 inch hole in the center top of the fork. Drilled a 1/4 inch hole through both sides of the fork and installed the tail wheel using an AN 4 bolt. Located the 2 inch U channel and drilled a 1/4 inch hole in the center of the channel. Located the steering arm and mounted it centered on the top of the wheel fork using two 1032 bolts with flush heads. Drilled a 3/16 inch hole in each arm at the center of the radius of each end. Drilled a 1/4 inch hole in the steering arm using the wheel fork as a guide.

Aligned the mounting arm of the tail wheel in the drill vice and drilled a 1/4 inch hole through both side of the 3/4 inch pipe. Assembled the tail wheel to the arm by attaching with an AN 4 bolt.
