Brief Description: Aligning the Fuselage to the Center Line
Move the fuselage and put up a 16 foot table. Placed the fuselage on the table and anchored it in place. Used a small floor jack to level the fuselage on the table. Marked the center line on the top and bottom cross members. Set up a laser level and aligned it with the marked center line of the main body of the fuselage. Placed a ratchet strap on the last upright support on the tail of the fuselage. Slowly brought the two sides together to meet at the center laser line. Rechecked the alignment of the laser and the center marks and adjusted as necessary. Recentered the tail on the center laser line. Clamped the top and bottom longerons at the center line and spot welded them in place.
