Brief Description: More fitting of panels, Seats arrived in the shop
Don was over to fit in all of the footwell sidewall carpet. These pieces are fit before the floor to get an accurate size. He even wrapped the small section of landing gear mount tube showing in the front footwell outboard corners.
With all of the new carpet in, the hole locating and melting in took a lot of time. Did you know there are 14 screws on each side of the front tunnel cover? I do because I counted the holes I needed to locate.
I also installed the front seat bottom and forward covers.
Much time and effort have been expended reinstalling the doors and getting the latches to operate. I had everything worked out (or so I thought) with seals and finish edging. Once the Ozite non-woven liner finish was on the doors, the fit is very tight. The door frame imprints all around except the bottom of the door making a good air seal. With that the seal strategy I had in mind will not work. Water is the question since Ozite allows water penetration. Another thing I will need to work out
