Brief Description:  fit and install panels

Most of the last month was spent in the garden rather than on the airplane earning wife points. In the last few days I spent a lot of time installing wrapped panels. Holes punched, panels carefully unwrapped and trimmed, then re-glued, alignment and insert screws

I ordered several hundred SS screws to supplement my supply. I have found it unwise to reuse screws with any damage. My goal was to have everything installed for photos before Oshkosh. Didn’t get there. The big sticking point is the rework to accommodate the seat heaters. That will be next post.

One thing I have found is that once the interior panels are wrapped in leather there is a lot of fitting and rework involved to get them back in position and secured. All screw holes need to be located and punched. In many cases the leather had to be pealed back, the aluminum trimmed and the leather re-glued where I didn’t leave enough clearance. Many, many hours spent in this exercise
