Brief Description:  center console infusion

Much better success with the center console infusion. I still had a hard time getting a good seal, but the resin flow looked near perfect. I should have sealed the joint when I clamped the mold halves together.
The red color below is a heat lamp to cure the resin a little faster. Once the resin jells, I can turn off the vacume pump. Tomorrow I will pop the part out and take a pic.

Well, the part came out with a few dry spots in it. Not terrible, just not as good as it should have been. The leaks I was unable to seal prevented a full vacume. When tearing the cured part down I foiund my mistake ... a real dooh! moment. In the areas I had to attach the butal tape to the inside of the mold I didn't clean off the PVA first. The PVA pulled away from the mold and allowed air to leak in.

After all, it is a usable part with a little TLC. I will be glassing in a bottom, cutting the top off for a door, and glassing in areas to mount the headphone jacks.
