Brief Description: Finish kit on the way, Footwell lighting 2 years
Well as of Oshkosh the next sub-kit is on it's way. My wife purchased the finish kit as a 60th birthday gift .. WOW! Best present ever. There was a 6 week lead time for the kit. I was notified last week that it was shipping from Vans, and expect it to arrive sometime this week. I am still working on home projects, but expect to begin taking at least some time back on the airplane.
Today I started work on the foot well lighting. It will be an extension of the interior RGBW LED lighting that backlights the switches. I have been puzzling out how I wanted to install the lighting as it is somewht fragile and can be easly damaged by feet kicking around. I tend to sort out this type of delema when I can't sleep at night, walking through the options in my mind.
I am creating a small recess in the flap tube cover where the LEDs are out of harms way and will shine down to light the floor area to help passengers in and out at night. I will do something similar to the front foot wells to provide light there as well.
