I added sub D pins and sockets to the five elevator trim wires. Clear heat shrink over each joint to seal and heat shrink over the bundle. If I ever need to service the joint I can cut the heat shrink off and unplug each of the wires. This is the start of many wire runs.
This was my first time using the sub D crimper; I paid way too much for. I found that I had to be gentle when crimping or I pinched the wires right off in the process. A gentle squeeze and the crimp is solid.
On another note: pulling a string through the conduit with the shop vac with a little piece of shop (paper) towel tied on the end works perfectly. Tie and tape the wire on the string and pull it through. slick!
