Brief Description:  Glue in windshield

With the windscreen ready, leather glareshield trimmed and aluminum prepped, I used the SCS2000 RTV and glued the windshield in place. I have had trouble getting air bubbles under the adhesive so decided the fix was to apply the adhesive directly to the window rather than the canopy frame. I was sure that would eliminate any visible bubbles …. I’m not sure how it is possible, but I still got bubbles. They are not a structural issue, just aesthetic as I don’t really want to glass over the edges of the plexi. I also had some of the tape protecting the Ozite interior wrap come loose so RTV got into the material making a real mess. Not a good outcome. Some heavy abuse with a sharpened wooden tongue depressor got all but the slightest traces out. Boy, that Ozite is tough stuff
