Brief Description: off the table and on temporary legs
I am to a point where having the airplane up on a table was not going the work any more. I needed the tail on to attach the rudder cables and don't have that high of cealings. I also needed the height to add the canopy. I was also just plain getting tired of having to climb on the edge of the table to work on just about anything.
I bolted two 24 inch 2X4s on each end of the spar with a 3/4 inch ply cap and a castor. The tail sits on a HF moving dolley with a ply box measured to catch the tailcone on two ribs. It is padded by two layers of pipe wrap. It is easy to move around and sits low enough that I can step into the cockpit without a stool. I can also slide under to finish a few rivets that need finishing.
