So far as a complete novice I have not had any skilled outside eyes on my workmanship. Other than 4 rivets at Oshkosh last year in a sheet metal forum I had never set rivets before. So I was a little nervous calling in a Tech Councilor to check up on me. My helper at the Oshkosh forum last year (2014) by luck or some generous twist of fate was a builder and owner of an RV 10 and lived only 30 mins from my house.
One call and he came by only hours later. Lots of good advice that i will try to follow. He also gave my work a thumbs up after checking a few close rivets (all were to spec) That gives me great comfort as I am into this project pretty deep to find out I did it wrong. Cool
For the next two months I will be working a lengthy list of tasks (non airplane) to get ready for a wedding at our house. So no more airplane. Oshkosh 2015 will be my only break for airplane stuff.
