Brief Description:  Closing the front upper skin .... yeah!

With one last call to Garmin while sitting in the aircraft I am convinced I did not leave any wiring out and everything is talking to everything else. I still have a few red X’s that will need to be resolved, or will resolve themselves as the wings are re-attached and the plane is outside for the GPS. I was told a GPS repeater will not work for the GTN-650. The other two items to attach are the OAT and the roll servo. With the instrumentation questions resolved, the front top skin was installed at last.

I started on the left side and riveted as I wrapped the skin towards the right. With the left and right sections of the instrument panel pulled, I was able to reach all but the last three right hand forward rivets by myself. The wife helped with the last three.

With the skin in, the last piece of the interior, the glare shield leather wrap was installed. With the wrap done I installed the AOA, the center post, and the GTN-650 GPS antenna and reinstalled the defrost fans. Both sides of the instrument panels were re-installed for the first time with all 19 screws (the top screws attach to the flanges installed with the top skin)
