Brief Description:  Front left side closeout panel,Parking brake mount

With the switch plates finally done I had to take inventory of what next. The big next steps in no particular order are, install rear top skin closing out the tail cone to further meddling, install landing gear, misc. small stuff up front including Parking brake control and close out panels.

After much thinking, sitting in the airplane testing ergonomics and what if scenarios, I distilled a plan of where to locate the parking brake and alternate static switch controls and structurally how to mount them. I specifically want to avoid the center tunnel/stack as the push pull cable will make access more difficult later. I also do not want to encroach on knee room or hide them under the panel for blind access.

They will attach to the left sidewall using a bracket at least partially riveted to the skin to stabilize the mounting. While working this little scheme out, I was also able to work out the close out panel for the front outside sidewall. This will close out everything forward of the seats hiding all of the wires etc...

Using the technique of poster board pieces, I made a template of the closeout panel and bracket. I cut sections by iterative fitting then taping this all together to make a complete template. Since there is no way to install a single panel without major bending, joints will be needed as well as fastening locations.

Partially completed with the fit up. The parking brake control and the alt. static air control is in place. The mounting of the push/pull cable was difficult, but doable. I still need to cut the lower panel and fit the final rivets and screws.
