Brief Description:  Door Seals

After much angst and studying the McMaster vs. Van's door seal question I have decided to stick with the Van's seals. For one, after fitting the doors, I left most of the 'gutter' portion of the canopy intact. Fitting the McMaster seals would require cutting much of that away to get the seals oriented in the correct position to seal. That seems to be taking a lot of structural rigidity away from the door frame. Second, the Van's seals fit beautifully into the gutter sealing all the way around. Third, I can accomplish a nice finish edge to the canopy door frame using McMaster edging (part #
24175K16) without the complications of the change to the seal. This is the same edging without the seal portion.

I did order the PlaneAround 180-degree door latch kit. I decided $400 bucks was cheap insurance against losing a door in flight, and I couldn't come up with a solution I liked better.
