Brief Description:  IP center stack and console fabrication

Moving on wiith the never ending (and I'm really just getting started) fiberglass work, I worked up the plugs for the center/under IP section. My goal here is to get some depth to the IP leaving enough space for an ipad to velcro in place under the radio stack.
I also formed the plug for the center console. I plan on padding the top and hinging a door. I also want the headset jacks to fit inside as well as 2-3 USB charging jacks.

After spending a great deal of time on the mold for the overhead, I m thinking of trying a layup over the plug and finishing the exterior with bondo and or micro.

I glued up 2" foam blocks to form the plug. I then added additional blocks to form a flange for all trim edges. Careful sanding to shape finished the shape. I added filets in a few key spots with micro and coated the whole shape with epoxy to seal the foam. (Can't bondo the foam directly as the foam will melt, don't ask me how I know) Once the epoxy set up, I skim coated the epoxy with bondo to smooth. Next step will be to lay up the glass
