Brief Description:  Flap actuator and torque tubes

I jigged and drilled the flap torque tube per the plans. The bearing blocks were far to tight to allow smooth movement, so those were reamed with an adjustable hand reamer until easy rotation was achieved. During installation it was evident the center section was too tight and binding against the sides of the tunnel. I took about 0.030 or so off of each end which loosened everything up to snug fit.

In general the powder coating thickness on every toleranced fit makes adjustment necessary, from the 1/4" bolt holes to the fuselage skin holes. Best advice is to final drill all holes, and hand fit all bearing blocks and tube ends.

And a general note, the bolts are a pain here as well. Small hands help a lot. I used a magnetic retrieval tool to set many of the washers in place. And when I dropped them, was able to retrieve them quickly.

Everything torqued and sealed.
