Brief Description:  bagage floor stiffiners and dimples

The baggage floor stiffiners are cut apart with aviation snips. No bandsaw needed. More match drilling, deburring and dimpling.

After everything is primed, I can start to assemble. The baggage floor stifiners and nut plates can be back riveted. That makes for a quick, clean and nice looking job. Riveting the nut plates on the rear bagage door frame is another matter. It seams there is always at least one rivet that requires a unique solution to buck. In this case it is a rivet under the folded edge of the frame. There is about 1/2" of space and nothing in my collection of bucking bars will fit. I took a 1'2" X 1" bar of steel and cut a 1/2" notch to fit under the edge of the frame and set the two rivets.

After everything is preassembled I set the left pieces aside and start insulating. I am putting 1/4" black foam under this eara. It is supposed to provide some sound attenuation as well as insulation. Because I fastened the conduit directly to the bottom skin, I need to work around the conduit.
