Brief Description:  EAA Composite Workshop

I made it to the final 2% of the 2009 Canadian Astronaut selection process but unfortunately I wasn't one of the final two selected. Now I have to find another ride and building a COZY seems like a great place to start. I've been thinking about building one for the last 5 years, so I'm real excited about getting started.

I went to Oshkosh (oh my gosh) in January 2009 to take the composite construction course. I drove there and back and learned that travelling on the east side of Lake Huron and Lake Michigan is a recipe for snowstorms. The west sides of great lakes aren't so bad.

The EAA museum was fantastic. I spent most of my time in the Rutan wing admiring the SpaceShip One replica.
