Brief Description: Book End - 2nd foam block joined to 1st
I took one of the 7x7x2 inch scrap blocks from the other day and cut it to 7x4x2 inches which allowed me to get rid of the part of it that was damaged. I actually cut it to 4.25 inches and then sanded it down to 4 inches.
I then split it in half using the coping saw by carefully following the marker lines I made all around the block. This left me with the required 7x4x1 inch base block. I sanded this block then vacuumed up the block, the tools, table, and floor.
I joined the 2 blocks together with 3 nails such that 1 inch of the base piece was under the larger vertical block thus leaving 3 inches of base block surface outboard from the larger vertical block. I sanded both of the sides where the vertical and horizontal blocks joined and did a bit more vacuuming.
