Both the front and aft landing gear bulkheads have hard points for the landing gear that are 0.25" thick solid fiberglass. In preparation for this layup of 22-25 layers of fiberglass, a piece of paper was taped over a smooth, flat area of the worktable. A 12" x 8" rectangle was marked on the paper with a felt tipped pen. Next a piece of saran wtap was placed over the rectangle. Scrap pieces of 0.25" foam were taped on all 4 sides of the rectangle to be used as guides in determining when the 0.25" fiberglass thickness is achieved.
Lastly, a cardboard template (roughly 9"x13") was made to be used as a guide for cutting out the 22+ pieces of cloth.
