Brief Description:  F22 aft layup

The shop temperature started at 85deg F and increased to about 90deg F during the 3 hours. The humidity was 46%.

Jason Piecowye came over to work with me today.

Using dry micro, I filled the low void areas around where the foam pieces were epoxy'd together.

We squeegee'd micro on the aft face of F22 then layed up 2 pies of BID cloth over the entire piece. I scissor trimmed the cloth right away as it was layed down and just prior to glassing.

The F22 doubler was squeegee'd with micro on the top side and then placed into position on F22. The doubler was glassed with 2 plies of BID, scissor trimming each ply as it was layed onto the layup.

1 ply of UND was applied over the doubler with a horizontal orientation and lapping it at least 1 inch onto F22 at C-C as shown on drawing M4.

Peel ply was applied over the entrie layup and covered with epoxy. Wax paper was placed over top of the peel play. Scrap foam pieces having the same thickness as the doubler were placed along the vertical colums and along the bottom of F22 and over the 2 top legs then a piece of plywood was placed over everything and weights stacked ontop of the plywood.

Chinese food and beer was then applied to Jason and David (not necessarily in that order).
