Brief Description:  Fuel Sensor Calibration

Worked on getting fuel sensor calibration done on both wings. Dynon has a calibration wizard for doing this. Tell it what the max capacity of the tank is and then you add 1 gallon of fuiel and save the sensor reading. You do this until you reach 12 gallons. The wizard will tell you if your calibration was successful. If not, you can either redo it or you can edit the existing data to correct any problems. Obviously, filling the tank takes up most of the time. Because the fuel sensor is on the inboard side of the tank and the wing having a 5.6 degree dihedral, the fuel sensor is not capable of reading from 0 to 12 gallons of fuel. On my calibration, the last measurement the sensor was able to make was at the 10 gallon mark. This means I will not see any reduction on my display until I have used 2 gallons of fruel. However, it should be able to read from 10 all the way down to empty. Both tanks were calibrated using ethanol free 92 Octane auto gas. Since I was spending time with the Dynon display, I decided to input the data for the weight and balance as well.
