Today was install the flaps day. This went much easier than I thought it would be. I first hooked the inboard side of the flap on to the flap rod pivot pin and then got under the flap and worked the hinge back into the wing. Once I had one cleco in the flap by the pivot pin, the rest of the hinge went in without much effort. Same process was used on the other wing with same results. Pictures show flaps supported in the full up position and ready for drilling out the two holes in the flap rod coupling for the two bolts. Once this is done, flaps will be operational. I will need to get some better drill bits before I attempt to drill into the steel tubing. Also connected nav lights and strobe lights to electrical panel. The nav lights worked fine but when I turned on the strobe lights, only one of them flashed. I am not sure what the problem is yet, because I tested them prior to closing wing and all lights were working. I will have to figure out a way to check the wiring at the fixture. Since there is no inspection panel for the lights, I am hoping there is enough slack in the wire so I can pull light off wingtip and be able to test wiring.
