After alot of measuring and looking at other builders logs, I decided where I would put my hole in the side skin for the flap rrod. Most of the verbage from the photo guide says center rod on flap hinge pin. There is no way this will work as it puts the rod passing thru the bottom longeron. I know that drilling a hole this size in the bottom longeron is a bad idea. But if you look at the plans, it shows the center of the rod being 40mm up from the bottom skin. This puts the bottom of the rod about 5mm above the longeron which is much better. Photo 1 show rod in hole. The wing incidence has not been set yet so the wing will be moved down at the rear spar. Also my attachment plate ended up on the back side of the rear spar instead of on the front side as shown in plans, I will call Zenith a find out if this is acceptable. Photo 2 shows all the bracing being lined to trying to get proper postion for drilling left side hole.
