Brief Description:  Power Up Avionics

Today was another historic day in the life of a homebuilt. I decided I had wired everything I could until I move to the hangar and get the wings on. So I carefully connected my spare 12V car battery to the aircraft, took a deep breath and flipped on the master switch. And nothing happened. After a few moments of sheer disappointment, I realized I needed to turn the EFIS on with its power on buttom. Once again my heart beat a little faster as pushed the power on buttom. To my amazement, it came on so I pushed buttons on the radio and ECU. It all worked!!!! What a relief. I climbed into the pilots seat and just sat back and let this all sink in. After a few minutes passed, I started the configuration process. I did not get very far along today but now that I know it works, I will do some more reading and then get back on it.
